Day 2

I went to bed at 9pm China time, 9 am your time. At dinner I felt like a junkie because I was struggling to keep my eyes open. Remember I was up for over 24 hours. When we came back to the hotel after dinner some of the students wanted to walk around the city but I decided to go to bed because I didn’t think I was going to make. The beds are EXTRA EXTRA firm. Its hard to avoid the water getting in my mouth when washing my face. I don’t want to get Hepatitis A or a GI bug.

I just ate a breakfast of rice with eggs, cucumber salad that was spicy, and some donut that had pork (I think). At 8:15am we have to leave the hotel to go to a crash course on China language and culture. Then we’re going to Summer Palace.

  1. Hey shugg! So glad you made it safe over there! I hope you are having a great time! You’re blog makes me laugh but this is a wonderful idea!I miss you!Take lots of pix!Don’t drop the cam.See you when you get back on this side of earth!

  3. This blog made me laugh! From gi bug to a donut with meat(I think)!

  4. This is kind of random but what countries is the water safe to drink? I know u can’t drink the water in Mexico and china…I ‘m wondering where else?

  5. Buffy! Hey girl! I miss u too! I’m glad I can entertain u, more to come 🙂

Nida I meant to say rice with eggs. Who knows I might have had an eye or two already. Tonight we’re having Peking duck.

Davina! Its a lot of funny stuff here but I can type about all of it…I know there are some African countries where drinking the water isn’t safe.
